Hey, remember that Project 365 thing? Where you took one photo a day for a year? Well, I sort of gave up on it back in February, when my camera was stolen, but I bought a new one before going to Cyprus, and I want to get back into it. I enjoy the way trying to find photos causes me to perceive the landscape in a different sort of way than I do otherwise.

Several of the people on my friends list have mentioned that they're going to participate in Project 365 this year. I don't have a link to an explanation, but the basic idea is that you take one photograph a day, for a whole year. I got a camera for Christmas last month, and it sounds like fun, so I figured I'd play too. Unfortunately I didn't realize that I wanted to join in until today, so I'm cheating a bit by having the first seven photos all be ones I took today.

It really is too bad that I didn't start yesterday; I could have had some very cool pictures of driving over the Appalachians.
