springkink has a round of prompts up for claiming! I would like to point out that June 13th has a Les Miserables Eponine/Cosette request. I cannot think of a single way that would work, but by god, I want someone to write it. Mainly so I can then read it.
I grabbed a few prompts for myself, which is quite exciting. I may actually have time to write this summer! As I have not in years, literally! It is sooooooo cool.
2. I am also thinking about writing for the next
imaginarybeasts issue (the theme is 'Cities"; sign up here if you're interested) but I want to wait to make sure I actually have something before I sign up.
3. Thoughts on watching Merlin, when half-way through the third episode: there are a lot of historical inaccuracies here, but so far I find the most hilariously ridiculous aspect to be Morgana's clothing.
4. Fic rec: Modern Life by
penknife. Discworld, PG-13. "It's amazing how the world rarely gets less complicated." If you don't read Discworld, you can still read this; all you need to know is that both male and female dwarves have beards, wear chainmail, work in mines, etc, and the idea of separate genders has only just begun to appear in their culture.
