1. [livejournal.com profile] springkink has a round of prompts up for claiming! I would like to point out that June 13th has a Les Miserables Eponine/Cosette request. I cannot think of a single way that would work, but by god, I want someone to write it. Mainly so I can then read it.

I grabbed a few prompts for myself, which is quite exciting. I may actually have time to write this summer! As I have not in years, literally! It is sooooooo cool.

2. I am also thinking about writing for the next [livejournal.com profile] imaginarybeasts issue (the theme is 'Cities"; sign up here if you're interested) but I want to wait to make sure I actually have something before I sign up.

3. Thoughts on watching Merlin, when half-way through the third episode: there are a lot of historical inaccuracies here, but so far I find the most hilariously ridiculous aspect to be Morgana's clothing.

4. Fic rec: Modern Life by [livejournal.com profile] penknife. Discworld, PG-13. "It's amazing how the world rarely gets less complicated." If you don't read Discworld, you can still read this; all you need to know is that both male and female dwarves have beards, wear chainmail, work in mines, etc, and the idea of separate genders has only just begun to appear in their culture.

Re: Merlin. Once you get to potatoes you stop caring and just enjoy the pretty. It's good fun.

I respond to your random list with a random comment! Do you need/want a Dreamwidth invite code? As it happens, I have one.

I'm doing IB this round! :D "Cities" was far too great a temptation to pass up.

Thank you so much for offering! I do! That is, I think I do; I don't grasp the political/ideological underpinnings of the move (if there are any), but I know that if fandom is moving, I want to follow.

It's yours, then! I'll send it out to your gmail address immediately.

I'm not sure I get the underpinnings of the move myself, but it certainly seems to be the New Shiny Thing. And heaven knows the developers/owners are there and listening to people, which has to be of the good.

That's where a lot of us are going if we have to leave Anatevka LiveJournal. I don't have an invite code yet, as I've been remiss in asking, since I don't want to leave LiveJournal.

Merlin: or how I learned to stop worrying and love the historical inaccuracies. Honestly, once they had the sandwich and the tomatoes I slotted this over to the Oh pretty category. And I have never looked back.

Bear in mind that Merlin and Arthur are not of History but merely of legend.

Yeah, I can't say I'm much concerned with the historical inaccuracies, just the fun.

I know! It's so awesome. I'm very exciting, even if it's just to read it.

Sure, but it's still a bit silly. Not that it's not fun!

Oh, I wouldn't say I mind. I am just utterly amused.
