And Issue One passed, the farthest reaching ban on gay marriage in the country. I want to cry. I was so sure this wouldn't happen. I was so sure that people were better than this.

There's so much hate and discrimination- not just against gays, but against people of other races, other religions, other countries. The story these people want leaves no room for me to be anything other than a dyke, or a commie, or traitor, or a heathen, and I hate it.
Do you watch the Daily Show? It's like Jon Stewart said, "This country is turning out to be like that dream I have... the one where I wake up crying."
