My day.

Today in Japanese, we learned the words for America, Germany, France, Spain, and the USSR.

...Good to know these textbooks are up-to-date.

Then I left the classroom, accidentally ran straight into some girl, and apologized. In Japanese. Wow, because that's not embarrassing in any way. Hopefully she didn't notice.

And this is the phone conversation I had with my mother last night:

Mom: So, we're going to be giving out flu shots on Friday...
Me: That'll be crazy.
Mom: Yeah, people are already calling and asking how early they should come in.
Me: Did you hear about that lady who died while she was waiting for one?
Mom: Yeah, but there were 900 people there! You have to expect that someone's going to die!
Me: *scandalized* Mom!
Mom: It's just the law of averages.

My life is surreal.
