Parks & Rec

I'm out of more episodes to watch! D: I loved these last few episodes though: Tom's Bistro! Triplets! April/Andy! The Cones of Dunshire!

Sleepy Hollow
2.06
I love Ichabod's toast to George Washington. He is such a dork. I also really want the fic about Abbie teaching him superheroes and other pop culture trivia. I really liked Joe, and would love to see more about his and Abbie's backstory, or his and Jenny's.
I'm... tentative about Irving being tempted to kill the dude who injured Macey. I was actually fine with it as it played out in this episode, but I feel like it's skirting too close to places I'd rather the show didn't go. Also I just want Macey to be on the show again, instead of appearing only in split-second flashbacks.
It was completely unnecessary, but I'm charmed by Ichabod cutting his own hand in his determination to assist Abbie.
DEMON SPIDER IN THE MOUTH. TERRIBLE.

And now that I'm out of Parks & Rec, I have a very important question for you all:

Yay Farscape!

Farscape does have some terrible episodes but it also has some brilliant ones. Also, it is best at cliffhangers. When my roommates and I were watching we'd stop after the season finales even when we had the next episode available just to admire the artistry.

Well, every show has some bad episodes! It would be amazing if not.

Farscape is GORGEOUS, and brings the feels like none other.

I can only watch a few episodes at a time because it can get really too heavy sometimes. But the writing is amazing, and the Creature Shop puppetry is exquisite.

Also, all the costumes are practically straight out of the late-90s Sydney kink scene, and that's always worth a laugh.

Oh, that's interesting! I hadn't realized that it got heavy - I know basically nothing about it, clearly.

And HA. I look forward to the costumes, then.

... Okay, yes, Farscape, because Aeryn Sun is hot as sin, and goes excellently with the hot as sin cast of SH, so you can like make this, like, Sizzling Hot People On My Screen November.

On the other hand, BH also contains hot people! My recommendation for BH is to not watch the seasons immediately one after the other, because each season is very different from the previous one and it's kind of disorienting and also harder to appreciate on their own merits if you expect them to follow the previous season. So maybe watch Farscape and watch S1 of BH (which is just six episodes!) kinda during it? [BH does, like, come together thematically in the end! But it's more more into experimenting than most shows. Also, like, higher death count than GoT.]

Speaking of which, I recommend saving Ripper Street for after S5 of GoT inevitably annoys and disappoints us. Then you can, like, turn off the sound and watch Bronn beat up Jorah. VERY THERAPEUTIC.

Being Human is super great! (Or at least, the first two or three seasons are.) I love the relationships between the three main characters, and I love the unglamorous way that it presents the supernatural - George & Mitchell might be a werewolf and a vampire, but they still have badly-paid jobs as hospital porters, live in a shitty flat share, and argue about who does the washing up. It's also both very funny and amazingly dark at times.

That's what I hear! All of these shows are ones I want to watch eventually, it's just a matter of what to watch first.
