What did you just finish?
I Am an Executioner: Love Stories by Rajesh Parameswaran. A book of short stories, each of which is about love, though only in the broadest and vaguest of ways. There's a story about a tiger in love with his keeper (hint: it doesn't end well), a wife who accidentally kills her husband by wishing it so, a sci-fi story on a planet of giant bugs about the love of a father for his daughter. The title story is about an executioner and his unhappy mail-order bride, as well as his odd relationship with a young girl in the prison he helps run. All of the stories were very well-written and interesting; I'll have to look for more by this author.

The Warrior's Apprentice by Lois McMaster Bujold. Miles Vorkosigan goes on vacation after failing to get into military school; he and his friends end up involved with a war, a mercenary army, and charges of treason. I didn't like this book quite as much as the first two in the Vorkosigan series, possibly just because Cordelia is my favorite and she was not much in this one. I did very much like Elena and her story arc, though, and I hope she shows up again in later books.

What are you currently reading?
The Fire's Stone by Tanya Huff. Canon OT3, whooo!

India: A Sacred Geography by Diana Eck. Non-fiction about pilgrimage and sacred places and how they both relate to the "idea" of India.
