Remember everyone! Today is the last day to sign up for Yuletide, so if you're planning to participate, don't let the deadline slip by. I added my requests to my Dear Santa letter, if anyone's curious.

Talk to me! Who else is super excited for assignments? Who is not participating this year?

I can't wait for my assignment! Want, want, want. I realized today I requested a bunch of grim fandoms. I really hope there's someone out there wanting to write in grim universes.

Well, I like writing in grim universes! I always forget that there's people out there who play Yuletide like an actual holiday exchange (which of course it is), and want happy stories full of Christmas presents and so forth, because wow, that is so not my approach.

I should really have mixed it up and requested a Christmas story somewhere in there, hahah. Maybe Christmas zombies. Or Jim Profit celebrates Christmas by staging corporate takeovers.

SO EXCITED.

Meanwhile, you asked for Draupadi! I have been toying around with this idea for a while of doing a fantasy novel series with the Mahabharata, kind of like... A Song of Ice and Fire is like War of the Roses???

*flail* THAT WOULD BE AMAZING. I know there's a novel out there that apparently is a cross between the Mahabharata and 20th century Indian politics, which I also need to read, but fantasy novel series would be basically the BEST THING EVER.

Hee. This year I was actually pretty conservative with my offers, only doing fandoms that I felt familiar enough with that I wouldn't need to reread or rewatch the canon. Usually I offer everything I've heard of! But I'm still always excited to see what I get.

I am so excited! I'm offering a lot of book fandoms I was never brave enough to offer before this year, and I'm hoping I get one, because AWESOME.

I caved like a big cavey thing. OMG.

Seriously. I looked at it initially and was like, "Oh, I'm kind of busy and...OH HEY, THEY WANT SOMEONE TO WRITE SARRASINE."

*facepalm*
