1. How many vampire hummingbirds would it take to eat a human? I am horrified by this idea, people. HORRIFIED.

2. 17 Things Worth Knowing About Your Cat. So cute!

3. 66 Books by Queer People of Color by [livejournal.com profile] zahrawithaz. Good for both [livejournal.com profile] 50books_poc and [livejournal.com profile] queerlit50!

4. What kind of fan fiction is your personality? I'm "the Weirdo". I have no comment. This has to do with numbers because, um, it's a test! With questions! That are numbered!

5. Okay, I don't know what this has to do with numbers. But Chocri- customizable chocolate bars- is awesome. And, I can tell you, very tasty.

The second link is fantastic. A friend and I were just discussing, yesterday, different methods of qualifying one crazy cat lady: cats/bedrooms, people in a household*cats in a household, etc.

You always blog the funniest links. The post in which you linked The Silent Koala's blog led me, additionally, to WellDoneFillet (http://www.welldonefillet.com), which has been different yet just as good (though my style of blog-reading, which entails starting with the very first post and reading forward, makes it a bigger commitment). So, thank you!

I'm so very jealous that you get to live in New York. I keep telling myself I'll get over there come grad school; the move to SoCal after high school was a great decision but it was so hard, at first, that I'm not eager for another cross-country move anytime soon. And in this economy.... More likely, I'll find a way to visit before then. God, I can't believe it's been six years. *sighs*

*grins* Thanks! I just got a new cat, and so am all about talking to everyone about cats at the moment.

Hee, thank you! I had not seen WellDoneFillet before. It is awesome!

I really do love New York. I always wanted to live here when I was little, and I'm so glad I've gotten to. I do have to admit, though, that after being here for a while, you get used to all the awesomeness of it (incredible public transportation; the farmers' markets; the museums and theaters, etc) and start longing for non-NYC things like living space and cheap rents. But I know if I moved somewhere else I'd suddenly start appreciating for all the things I take for granted now, hee.

On the other hand: SOCAL'S WEATHER. I WANT IT.
