brigdhSo, playing with the new RPG I'm in, in which I'm Dawn, I realize I know nothing about Dawn. Which is bad.
I'm mean, yeah, Buffy's sister, key, made by monks, etc etc, but I know nothing about how to get into her head. Don't even have a clue about her motivations or thoughts. Why does the only character I can't get in tune with the one I ended up playing? Any other characters I could lay out their fears, hopes, problems, everything that makes them tick. Even Xander. And I hate him.
But Dawn? I'm blank. No idea even of where to start from. So I decided to go looking for Dawn sites, find me some essays on her and go from there. I wanted something like Fists and Fangs, a Spike site with a multitude of essays on how and why Spike works.
Found nothing. Even the Writer's Guild's Dawn's site, to come right out and say it, sucked. So I've been searching the larger sites, hoping to find Dawn essays on them. Any suggestions? I'm pretty desperate, here.
On a side note, all these Dawn thoughts, combined with me trying to stop thinking about Spike so I can focus on Dawn, have given me the idea for a fic. Unfortunately, it's about Spike. Started it twice last night; once was too comic for where I want to go, the other sounded nothing like Spike. Will have to try again.
