1. True Blood! Oh, True Blood. This show is kinda trashy, and yet I keep loving it more and more. I am disappointed Lafayette is not a vampire. I was looking forward to that. And yet, he is not dead, so I have no complaints. Although, awwww. He curled up in a blanket! He needs someone to pet him.

What else happened in the episode? Um, Sookie and Bill fought some more. That was boring. Although the bit about petticoats was hilarious. Oh! I adore Jessica. And Jessica/Hoyt is so awesome.

2. Saiyuki Reload 9. Yes, I am a bit behind. But oh! So good! I am absolutely in love with the whole sequence about Hazel as a child. Gorgeous, and creepy, and wonderful. And then Ukoku! I'm trying to avoid spoilers, but: SQUEE. Amazing stuff. You know, at first I did not like a lot of the symbolism in the Saiyuki books- okay, okay, I get it, Sanzo = the sun, whatever- but as time goes on and the symbolism gets more complicated and layers are added, I adore it more and more. I'm really in the mood to go back and reread the whole series right now.

3. Vienna Teng's new CD is really good. Eminem's new CD is boring.

4. Does anyone know anything about Saiyuki Gaiden coming out in English? I remember hearing a rumor a while ago that Tokyopop was supposed to pick it up, but I don't know if anything ever happened with that.

Ha, yes. rm is my girlfriend, but I am oddly reluctant to mix fandom and 'real life' too much, which prevented me from making an explicit post on the topic. Though she's not shy about it, and thus I appear on her journal all the time, making my reluctance even weirder, since I'm not making myself ungoogleable or anything.

Baaaaaby Hazel, yes. Hazel really does get more worth watching as things continue. It really is interesting when you re-read, especially the really early stuff, which seems so much more amateurish now in comparison.

I think Gaiden might have been put on hold with the whole 'everyone almost going bankrupt' thing, which is a damn pity.

And alas. But I suppose at least that means there's still hope for the future.

Yeah, especially since there's going to be something like a six-month break between the end of Reload and the beginning of the new series, so if Minekura's selling well (AND SHE BETTER BE) they might figure it's worth it.

Yeah, the chapter that just came out in raws is the last for six months, at which point she'll be giving it a slightly new title with the same publisher. I wonder if she just wants a break or it's a branding thing or something. It's a nice stopping point but it's sure nowhere near an ending yet!
