Jesus Christ, this is the slashiest show I have ever seen.

I may not be the best judge, given that I personally like the Northern skin-like-milk thing. Nevertheless, I'm going to say yes on this one. Bradley James in particular has one of those faces that's better with more resolution; you don't see the bone structure in any image small enough to fit onto an icon. Also, professional lighting can wash it out -- interestingly, he can occasionally manage the trick of being prettier in informal video than on screen.

The difference is perhaps less extreme with Colin Morgan, where the bones are more pronounced, so that at some angles you can actually see them even in tiny pictures. But it's still a substantial difference; and the icons don't show one of the more interesting things about him, which is that he can go from awkward and almost ugly to eerily, inhumanly beautiful depending on angle and light.

Of course, you might want to watch with the sound off, depending on your tolerance for bad dialogue in a language you can actually understand. I personally feel sure I would love this show with a perfectly idiotic passion, if only it were in Japanese.

After last week's Dollhouse, I feel confident there is no show I cannot tolerate bad dialogue in.

In Irish families the term is "fish belly white." It's a Gaelic word meaning 'They aren't sick, they always look that way.'
