I haven't written any fanfiction (or any fiction, you know, or poetry or whatever; nothing except papers and emails and so forth, which doesn't at all count) since Yuletide, and before that for months. It's because I'm busy, of course. I can only justify so much procrastination. But I feel this longing to write, not a particular story (even ideas take time!), but just words, just anything. Which is strange, because even if I liked to write I never quite identified with the people who claimed to need to. I'm still not sure I'd say that, but it would be nice to write something.

That is what I keep thinking! But I was serious about not having any ideas, either, and yet I know if I take suggestions I will just never write any of them, because I suck like that. Woe!

You could take suggestions, but with the understanding that you're searching for inspiration, and it's likely that nothing will come of it? That way there's no pressure.

*hugs you tight* I know how you feel. I haven't written anything of substance in over 4 years and it's killing me. But I'm deathly afraid of sitting down to blank space now. Utterly terrified! It's all in my head. I know this! But it doesn't keep me from avoiding the screen.

You could try carving out a specific block of tine to write?
