One of the blogs I read, Bookshelves of Doom, is doing a "Big Read"- the idea is that everyone reads the same book at the same time, and posts about it. This time, they're doing I, Claudius. I have totally always wanted to read I, Claudius but somehow have not yet. Who doesn't love poisonings, sex, and crazy Roman politics?

The explanation post for the Big Read is here. If you'd like to play along (do! do!), the day to post about the first three chapters is March 3rd.

Ooh, I wish I didn't always fail at bookblogging--I love I, Claudius. Not always historically accurate, but a wonderfully engaging book. I'm anxious to know what you'll think of it!

I tend to fail, too, because I'm never quite sure about what to actually say. I do think I'll adore this book though- I tore through the first four chapters after I bought it, and then had to make myself stop so I'd keep to the schedule.

Hee, me too. But the chapters are short and it's a very quick read!

Not fair! I have no time at all and you made me remember that I too want to read I, Claudius for years. >:(
But I'm grateful for a new book blog to my collection:)
