Thoughts on writing springkink
Mar. 25th, 2007 09:31 pmMan, I have a much easier time writing dialouge when the characters are at least vaguely well disposed to one other. This "we're fighting because we're both upset over some big problem but we are not going to actually talk about it" stuff is hard.
Though it probably would be easier if I didn't want an happy ending eventually. I keep coming up with something nicely in-character, writing it down, and then realizing: shit, if he says that, there is no way they are making up in the next 500 words. Or ever, possibly. When I have to constantly fight with both characters to come on, be just a little nicer, it makes writing go very slow.

It's aggravating when they forgive each other too easily. Makes me want to shout, "Don't make me come in your world and smack you with a journal! And no sex this chapter, yeesh..." X3
