I am currently very annoyed with my roommate (who is, at the moment, actually here). Last night I came into the kitchen to get food out of the oven; she was already standing there, but I didn't say anything to her because she was in the middle of a conversation on the phone (mostly concerning the strangeness of her phone picking up other signals and the quality of the quesdillas she was making, but whatever). I pulled the food out of the oven, turned away, and accidentally bumped the pan. Now, normally I am good about realizing in time what dropped things you should not attempt to catch (knives, pointy things, etc), but last night I went lunging for the metal pan, burned myself, and dropped it again, all with loud clattering and a dash to the sink to run cold water over the burn.

Meanwhile, my roommate stood half a foot away and continued to stare at the microwave, without even glancing over. To ignore all that must have taken some serious effort, I must say.

Of course, possibly I'm just annoyed because today I have a blister on the back of my hand and it hurts.

I've put two posts up on audiography in the last twenty-four hours: one for the current "remix theme" (which I think has nothing to do with the remix fanfic challenge, but is fun anyway), and one of covers of There Is a Light That Never Goes Out. It's pretty good, thank you; it doesn't hurt anymore, though there's still that dark, shiny patch that burns leave behind. But I don't think it'll scar or anything.

I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe she was just really involved with her phone conversation. But yeah, I was annoyed at her.

Ack -- burns are terrible! And blisters are creepy/gross, which is adding insult to, well, injury.

Hee! And it's not that bad of a burn; it's already stopped hurting, and I very much doubt it'll scar. Thank you for the concern, though!
