elbo.ws: a music blog aggregator. This is the most useful thing I have discovered on the internet in months. It contains a huge number of music blogs, all across the internet, organized so that they're searchable by musician or song or genre or any word appearing in the original post. Have some song you've been dying to find? Type it in here, and you will be able to find it if anyone at all has posted it in months. Clearly the likelihood of your success has a great deal to do with whether the song you're looking for is a darling of the current scene, but it's still a hell of a lot better than trying to do similar searches through google.

[livejournal.com profile] springkink: a new challenge community for April. Currently taking prompts for any fandom, any pairing, plus any kink. More detailed rules here.

Speaking of kinks, we have [livejournal.com profile] eliade's justly-famous big list o'kinks post, lately joined by [livejournal.com profile] rydra_wong's collection of Under-Represented Erogenous Zones. Management not responsible for any injuries sustained by reading these two posts in combination.

Dinosaur Comics. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I am going to print that off and hang it on my wall. Also, my exact thoughts on religion, right down to the worry that I'm being patronizing! Dude, I find it strange to see my thoughts reproduced so exactly by other people.

In case there's anyone left who's missed the terrible, terrible context: HE IS MARRIED TO A HORSE. Because everyone should share in the trauma.

I've been using it for a while, but for some reason they won't add my blog! :(

Oh, that sucks. I noticed elbo.ws collects [livejournal.com profile] audiography posts, which is kinda neat.

I love Dinosaur Comics. I had a moment like that when I saw a plot point from my Nanowrimo (http://www.qwantz.com/index.pl?comic=847") mirrored in the comic, and it was pretty weird to see.

The first time I read that "his wife is a horse," I thought that it was a metaphor. I was so disturbed when I realized it wasn't.

Hee! Dinosaur Comics seems to be the spot for stealing everyone's brain waves.

I thought "Mare" was her name (I went to school with a girl named Mara! Mare could totally be a name!) and then I realized that, no, she was literally A MARE and right about that second there was when my brain broke irreparably.

See, I thought he was continuing with the "stallion mentality" line of thought (which, since he brought it up in the community he did, I assume he did intend figuratively). And then I realized that "mare" was literal and ow my brain.

I love how this is every single person's reaction to the wank. We all went, "Aww, don't call your wife a horse, that's so mean-
.
.
.
OMGWTF!!one!"

No one could have predicted it!

Not even Dinosaur Comics! Even though it evidently does everything else.

As I explained on [livejournal.com profile] pellaz's LJ when she posted on the subject, I once got in a flamewar with a guy who turned out to be married to a golden retriever named Lady.

Man. I think this is solid proof not only that the internet contains every single unimaginable thing, but that it can provide multiple instances of them.

The combination of those links hurts my brain, almost as much as the last one does on it's own. 8D

Ha, I know. I make these linkblog posts by bookmarking anything interesting I come across, until I've collected enough to make a post, but sometimes it results in bizarre combinations.

The Sarah McLachlan song? Oh, too bad I didn't know you were looking for that; I could have given it to you a long time ago.

Everyone's posting about it! It's one of those things that's so terrible you have to share it with everyone you know.

....I didn't need to know that.

The comics were fun though. Comics fun. Yay. Must think about comics.
