I haven't been this sick in years. But as a result, I've managed to escape having any dysfunctional family stories to tell after the holiday, mainly because I haven't been coherent enough to really engage in conversation. Whining that I'm cold seems to be the limit of what I can handle, when I'm not actually asleep in blankets in front of the fireplace.

It's very Alec, now that I think about it. Even if it is a fireplace that turns on and off with a switch.

The internet here is entirely broken, and won't be fixed until after I'm back in New York, to add insult to injury. At the moment I'm at a coffeeshop, because I needed to download some materials for the project I have due on Monday. Which will be so, so interesting if I don't regain the ability to do more than stare blankly at walls soon. Maybe I'll lose my voice and will have a valid excuse for why I can't lecture for 40 minutes on symbolic archaeology.

And I don't think I can compose any more sentences right now. Have a happy Leftovers day, everyone!
