Looking for music program

Does anyone have a music program that allows you to crop a track? I've got a music file, and I really want to take off the last five seconds of it.

I use Goldwave (http://www.goldwave.com/release.php) -- maybe it would be breaking a butterfly on the wheel if you just want to crop, but some of the other features can be useful. Also I've seen people rec Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) and it does look a bit simpler, but I've never tried it.

Oh, thank you! I hadn't seen anything offering this feature which was also free, and I'd begun to give up hope.

Audacity is good, I've used it to make some very satisfying clipped versions of things.
