[livejournal.com profile] bb_shousetsu's (a webzine which normally publishes short, original m/m stories) Special Summer Edition is out, and it's all f/f stories! Excellent.

All the stories are good, but I particularly recommend Gypsy Dance for cliched fun and You Will Be Assimilated / La Belle Dame Sans Merci for excellent dialouge and all-around cuteness. The best story, without a doubt, is The Movement of Your Hands; seriously, go read that right now even if you hate f/f. It's amazing.

I like The Fate of a Queen (http://s2b2.livejournal.com/24899.html) a lot too, though it felt a little rushed towards the end. And Silk (http://s2b2.livejournal.com/24639.html) is adorable fun. ♥

*nods* 'Silk' was so cute. I really did like them all, these were just my three favorites. ' Our Lady of the Immaculate Heart' had a nice long plot, too.

Those were excellent! I haven't been able to find good f/f stories in a long time. I used to read f/f novels published by a small press years ago when I lived on the west coast, but they stopped publishing and are hard to find here. Nice to find some again...

I'm glad you liked them! I was happy to find them too; I'm just disappointed that Bang Bang is otherwise so focused on m/m stories. I'd have been tempted to try and submit one myself, if I'd had heard about it soon enough.

I know the person who wrote Sundiver and I ended up shrieking in glee at her and waving my hands frantically. Thereby confirming what I've told her many times: I'd read a grocery list written by her. Yeah, I'm biased. It was such a nice change to read f/f and so much good f/f.

I ended up raiding Waterstones in Piccidilly last weekend (seven. floors. of. books. be still my heart.) and I was agonising whether I could fit half of their gay and lesbian section in my bag or not. *sigh* Next time, I clearly need to bring a second bag with me.

I'm about halfway through my submission for September's issue. It's going well, and t's made me remember why I like writing original stuff.

Hee. Sundiver was a good one. And me too, I was so happy to read some f/f; I hadn't realized how much I wanted some. I wish they did it more often, instead of just this one special issue.

Next time, I clearly need to bring a second bag

*laughs* Have you read Sarah Water's stuff? All her books have f/f, though my favorite is 'Fingersmith'.
