Sleep, poker
May. 15th, 2006 02:00 pmI forgot to set my alarm last night and slept through my class this morning. That is so embarrassing. I've never done it before! Well. I've deliberately chosen not to go to class, but I've never accidentally not gone. It's especially annoying because it's a class I've already missed twice this quarter, from back when I was sick.
So, the results of the poker poll were interesting. Apparently poker is far less well-known than I'd assumed. The most common answer for if people knew to play it was "sort of", and no one at all chose "very well". The best known type is five-card draw (which is what I'd expected), and most people learned as teenagers. In the slang, the most well-known term is Full House, with 95.7% of people recognizing it, and the least well-known is suicide king at 43.5%, closely followed by one-eyed jack at 47.8%.
