I've been saving these up for a while, so you get quite a few today. I'd been planning to wait until stagesoflove finished, so I could rec those stories too, but I'm afraid I'll start forgetting things I wanted to link to, and probably have already. I'll just have to do a special stagesoflove edition next week.

Ficlet Series by kazaera. Saiyuki gen, a 250 word piece for each of the ikkou. Lovely and perfect and just right.
It is a simple truth, maybe too simple for the others to see: On the road west or in the temple at Chang'An or in the prison on the mountaintop, you are, always, only yourself.

Complementary Colors by ranalore. Saiyuki, Sanzo, PG. For that "five kisses" meme that was going around, six of Sanzo's kisses. God, I wanted to rec this two seconds after I read it. But the entry was flocked, and it took me a while to realize it was up on her site, too. If you only read thing I rec today, make it this one.

Fucking Youkai by threewalls. Saiyuki, R, Sanzo/Goku. I think I'll just quote her summary, because it's better than anything else I could come up with: Sanzo doesn't need someone else to point out he's travelling with demons.

Good Omens/Saiyuki ficlet by louiselux. R, gen. Crowley and Aziraphale meet up with the ikkou, and it. Is. So. Funny.
'those poor unfortunate boys', as Aziraphale insisted on calling them, although Crowley didn't see what was so unfortunate about a monk with a gun and an attitude problem, a redhead with a deathwish and mass of whirling blades, a madman who was even more polite than Aziraphale, not forgetting the teenager who also happened to be one of the most powerful beings ever to walk the earth and who was, incidentally, only kept in check by a sodding tiara.

Dinnertime by daegaer. Because Saiyuki and Good Omens go together too well to just do it once. Crowley feeds Sanzo.
"Are you meant to eat meat?" the man said curiously.
"What's it to you?" Sanzo said, mouth full.
"Hey, it's not my business. I just thought Buddhist priests -- you are a Buddhist priest, right?"
"What's it to you?"

Amputations by mrmoonpants. A Muraki/Hisoka fst with great, great song choices. (As always, fst posts are locked to members only.) ETA: By the way, I should mention that this is a fst of hate, not for a pairing. February's theme was the anti-valentine.

Oh, interesting. I'd been meaning to ask people what fic communities they liked for Saiyuki, since as soon as I finish the last part of stagesoflove I wanted to put them together and spread it around, but the only communities I follow myself are 100_roadtrips and 1000_miles_west, and it'll be too long for those.

Hee. This icon is inspiring all kinds of love. Did you see the post with the original art? I really adore the lineart with the butterflies of the main four, but no one's made icons with that yet, and I haven't got around to doing it myself.

I asked around and heard saiyukiyaoi was a fairly centralized comm for non-drabbles. It's worked well for me so far. *G*

I think I did see that post, or another post where someone had scanned the latest issue (I think that was it). Pretty, pretty stuff.
