tad_coast reminded me that I hadn't signed up for stagesoflove yet, and I realized what pairing I should write: Sanzo/Gojyo/Hakkai/Goku. Because, yes, I am crazy.

But tad_coast and I are the only ones writing for Saiyuki, and there's also only two people signed up for YnM pairings. What are you people doing? Go sign up! I need stuff to read, too.

In other news, I got my first package from the BPAL lab today. Exciting! Especially since I didn't expect to get it for another month. I have all sorts of wonderful news smells to try now, and then I can join everyone else in crowding your flists with review posts.

I haven't been inspired to write much lately. The fuda drabble I did today was the first thing I've written since... August? When I failed to finish my yaoi challenge fic in time for the dealine?

Yeah.

I can't write Saiyuki fic. I don't know why. It's not that I can't get in their heads, because I've cosplayed a few of them with no problem, but the writing? Not so much.

I've found that I relate to them a lot differently than any other characters I've written before, too. Weird. I wonder why that is.

I'm semi-signed. I just haven't taken the final plunge and committed yet, so I'm not on the master list. Plus, I've only got two potential relationships for the mods to choose from, and I think you're supposed to submit three.

I wish I knew the Gensoukai arc better. I'm suddenly thinking, somebody might be able to do a fun cracked-out crossover with Touda and Jeep. Or perhaps Karikura and Jeep.

Oh, psh. I didn't even come up with two relationships to choose from, I just had my one. Spren's pretty easy-going, and besides, I think it was more important to have three to choose from when the challenge first opened up and everyone was grabbing for the most wanted pairings. We're kind of just picking up the leftovers, now.

I will admit to having a fascination with Tatsumi/Hisoka, just because I have a hard time seeing how it works, even though I've read a fic or two where it did work well.

gaudior and I had an evil plan where we would write Tatsumi/Hisoka, because she writes Hisoka and I write Tatsumi and whenever we co-write anything, our characters tend to end up sleeping together. (No, we don't know why. It just works that way.) But when we talked about how to do it, we ended up gravitating back to our usual Tsuzuki/Hisoka and Tatsumi/Watari pairings. And so we decided it was not to be. Which sucks, because the non-pairing part of the story would be nifty, and now we'll never do anything with it.

Though, seriously, I'm not too terribly worried, because I was working for a fic for just that pairing (foursome? is that a word?) when my computer died and ate half of it, so at least I have a little practice with them. I'm hoping it'll be fun.
