This is what I have to deal with.
Oct. 20th, 2005 06:14 pmA bit of advice for all you people who work in colleges/other places that require applications:
If you ever happen to find yourself, just as an example, because certainly no one has said this to me, saying, "In your letter to me outline what you have done and what you want to do," you may want to consider giving more specific instructions, as such a description in no way is going to help the person you're talking to understand what type of thing you're looking for. In case you forget this helpful hint, the person may ask for more details. But remember, a useful answer is not, "The letter should be 2-3 pages. I will show it to others."
Just, you know, in case you happen to find yourself in this situation.

Date: 2005-10-21 03:25 am (UTC)I feel your pain! It's the GREs that have really been bothering me. I got my scores a few months ago, but I have *not* been able to find one single site anywhere that tells me which scores are good, which are average, and which are bad. Even school applications won't tell me the average scores of the applicants they accept. It's driving me crazy!
