Three quick things

1. It seems somehow cosmically unfair that we finally are reaching nice temperatures (93 at the moment), and I'm too sick to enjoy it. Though on the other hand, I really couldn't have picked a better time to become feverish/congested/groggy: I don't have any finals or papers due until Thursday, so this week is a chance to reach the ultimate in lazy.

2. If anyone wants Saiyuki scanlations, I put the entire series up here for p_zeitgeist, but others can feel free to download as well.

3. I set up an Audioscrobbler account, so you all should as well. And then friend me, because I want to see what you're listening to.

I use the one damned player Audioscrobbler doesn't support or I would've been in long ago. *hmph*

Loved your summer mix--might I suggest that next time, you also make available a file with ALL the songs? I trust your judgment enough to download all of your recs for a listen.

Oh, really? What player do you use? I use Itunes now, though I don't like it all that much, because it's simpler to deal with keeping my ipod organized instead of switching back and forth between players. But the one I used for the longest time, and which was very much my favorite, was winamp, though that's mainly just because I like the pretty skins you can make for it.

I use MusicMatch Jukebox. I paid for it years ago (the pay version has more features) and have just gotten used to it--it can look up information for you, rename your files, etc., which is SOP now but which wasn't as common back when I started using it.

I find that switching players seems to be easy if you just have music files without lots of meta info. I, however, have an unhealthy obsession with ID3 tags and suchlike, and those don't translate well between players IME. I tried WinAmp not long ago but found the good things about it weren't enough to make up for how many distracting, useless-to-me bells and whistles.

BTW, re your summer mix, I didn't keep a lot of it, but I LOVE that Rilo Kiley song! My addition (among many I could probably make): KOOP's 'Summer Sun,' you can download it free and legal at http://www.epitonic.com/artists/koop.html . You're not on Epitonic, are you?

Ah, cool! I've never used that one before. I was very fond of Realplayer's Jukebox for a while, but then they released a new version of it, and it lost all the features I'd like and gained new ones that just seemed to make it run slower.

And thank you! I hadn't heard that song before, but thanks so much for the rec. Very good choice. I hadn't even heard of Epitonic before, but free music downloads are always a good thing. Speaking of which, I finally got around to sending you the music files I'd promised. Did you get it? Sorry again that it took so long; I have such problems with procrastination.

Hm...I'm having trouble opening chapter thirteen of the third volume. All the other chapters I've tried have opened and read just fine. Any ideas on this? I need to see what happens next. *_*

Huh, my copy seems to be having the same problem. I hadn't noticed it before because I bought the third book before reading the scanlations, and so hadn't gone through them all.
