1. Man, spammers are getting creative. I just downloaded a song, only to open and find that it was actually a short video promoting some free-ipod site.
Although that was a pretty obscure song to use as a lure (Snow Song Part One by Neutral Milk Hotel. If anyone has it, I will sell my soul for you to send it to me, kthnx), so maybe it was just a weird coincidence.
2. Also: sign up for the Diverse Paths Multifandom Challenge! It's like an AU, but with a twist. You know you want to.
3. I want to do that 'ten things I've done that you haven't' meme, but I don't think I could come up with ten. Woe.
4. I currently have 27 Matthew Good Band songs on my computer. I'm thinking it's past time to give in and buy a CD. But first, I'll share: Hello Time Bomb; Alabama Motel Room; Strange Days.
5. I dropped my Ipod about two weeks ago; although it plays music fine, it has a neon-blue bruise in the corner of its screen. But this is the weird part: I've noticed that the bruise is getting smaller. And changing shape. And developing little dents and holes in its once-clean outline. My theory on this is that either God has given my electronics the ability to heal, or they're developing life and will enslave all humanity, like that episode of South Park with Cartman's Trapper Keeper.
...if Ipods enslave all humanity, does that mean we'll have music all the time? I could deal with that.
6. According to the Pope, gay marriage is part of the "new ideology of evil". Forget homosexual agenda. We're a whole ideology now! Maybe we can align with the Ipods. We would totally get more recruits if we offered Ipods instead of toasters, after all.
Also, democracy is godless and there was a major Communist plot to assassinate him. If my grandfather was like this, he'd be a lot more entertaining.
5. Although I did spend part of tonight explaining to frat boys why lesbians would enjoy strap-ons, so maybe I have done enough weird things for that meme.

Date: 2005-02-23 12:29 pm (UTC)Me too, if it's any consolation.
Thanks for the music, and I would be perfectly happy with iPods enslaving humanity
as it would be a big step up from the Pope or George Bush.no subject
Date: 2005-02-23 11:26 pm (UTC)And hey, good point there. I'm pretty sure that Ipods wouldn't declare quite so many wars.

Date: 2005-02-23 11:31 pm (UTC)I've seen it going around a lot lately, but I don't think I could come up with ten things. Or at least not without thinking about it for a while, and I'm feeling too lazy for that. ;)
I'm not signing up for it, but just because I've signed up for too many challenges lately. I always end up writing challengefic just before the deadline, and then I don't have time to get it beta'd, and then I'm not happy with it, and then I feel guilty. So I'm going to swear off challenges for a while and work on my own stuff.
But you should do it!
