I've been so busy, I've barely been able to keep up with LJ. Which is not helped by the fact that my computer's been throwing increasingly frequent fits. I do not want to buy a new one, but that seems like it's becoming more and more of a neccessity.

Anyway. I've read through 300 posts today to catch up, but it's likely I've missed something. So if you posted and I didn't comment, or you think I missed it, or whatever, please pimp yourself in the comments. ^^ I don't wanna miss anything!

So, on a random topic change, I've got a question about the Utena manga. There seems to be two versions- one's slightly larger than a regular sized manga, and has mostly white covers, like this one.
The other's the regular size, and has covers that are blue and pink, like here.
Is there a difference between these? Different storylines, different details? I seem to remember someone saying that there were two different versions of the manga, but maybe I'm just on crack. And if they are different, which one do you all reccommend?

I'd really like to get into this fandom, so I'm just wondering which version I should buy.

Also, GIP, made by [livejournal.com profile] anniesj. I am *so* excited for this movie, it's insane. Yay Apocolypty goodness. ^_^

Which reminds me, I must pimp: The Day After Tomorrow fic challenge. This is the joy, people. I wanna write a Yami crossover, now.

Re: the Utena mangas. The differences is that the smaller one is what Viz is calling a Pocket Manga and therefore instead of selling it for 15 dollars like they used to, they sell it for 7 or 9 dollars. It's more a cost reduction than anything else. In so far as I know the storyline hasn't been altered in the slightest. It's what they did with all their banner mangas about six months ago (like X, Inu Yasha, and Ranma 1/2), trying to up their sales.
