13 ways of looking at livejournal, by
tralf2001, gacked from
melymbrosia. And over here is a really interesting post by
cathexys about ff.net and why many of the writers there take constructive criticism as personal attacks.
Also, I have a midterm tomorrow afternoon, and I have not yet even begun to study for it. ^^; But on the positive side (there is a positive side, really), it's a ridiculously easy class, and I don't particulary need to study very much.
But I shall not do it now, because owwwwwww. I'm in pain. Cramps or stomach ache, or yanno, just some kind of pain coming from the general torso region. So I'm going to go sleep.
First, though, in the good news of today: I wrote about 200 words of ClubSoka, which is a ridicoulsy small amount, but at least it's some, so I shall brag about it. And my Japanese teacher told me after my test today that I'm doing very well, that I'm very quick, and that I understand things very fast. *big grin* But I still am completely incapable of pronouncing the stupid 'r'. Ah, well. Also, I found this rather cool fic on ff.net, which I'm fairly certain at least two other people have recc'd, but I shall do it again anyway:
We Share This Humble Path, Alone by Death of a Salesperson. It's got a few distracting misspellings here and there, but overall it's very good, nice Tsuzuki-voice, and a really interesting Hisoka-characterization. I want more.

Date: 2003-10-21 07:44 pm (UTC)And yay on the Clubsoka! ^_^ You know, I think you may be the first person to ever develop a small fanbase on a fic before you've published the prologue. Um...congratulations? ^_^;

Date: 2003-10-22 01:48 pm (UTC)And yeah. It's kind of disconcerting. >.> I worry that I'm taking too long, or that I can in no way live up to expectations. Or that people are getting really weird ideas of what it'll be like, and they're going to be... um, surprised, to say the least. But thanks! I think...

Date: 2003-10-22 10:00 pm (UTC)And I promise not to speculate too much. ^_^
Besides, my speculations tend to spawn entire new plotbunnies. You would not believe the plot I spontaneously came up with as I wrote this. o.o It involves the snake god and Tsuzuki temporarily teaming up to rescue Hisoka from Muraki while Muraki dumps Hisoka at Oriya's and goes off on a merry murdering spree which brings the Watari and Tatsumi in on a case while Tsuzuki gets to deal with a horny snake god.
Why can't I ever get interesting plotbunnies that would take less than a hundred pages minimum to write? ^_^;

Date: 2003-10-21 09:13 pm (UTC)And oddly, that was the fic I thought it was the other night when you mentioned it, I just for some reason remembered it as a Hisoka POV. I think my brain is fried.
