Mwahahaha!! Okay, so I cheated just to get this answer. But look! It's my namesake! Or would be, if I could spell, since no version of the goddess answers to 'Brigdh'.

**********

So yeah. I want to read the Harry Potter wanky thing that people have been posting links to, but it crashes my computer every time I try. *pouts*

**********

'wordsofastory', though, is not from a goddess. Although a friend once thought it said 'words of Astare'. Nope. It's a quote from 'The Poisonwood Bible', by Barbara Kingsolver, which is really a great book, and you all should go read it right now. <i>"To live is to change, to acquire the words of a story, and that is the only celebration we mortals really know."</i> Dude, that's really depressing, now that I look at it.

**********

Nightmares suck. I feel that you all should know this.

**********

You know, there's no 'brigdh' on LJ. I could make it mine. But what would I do with it?

**********

A lot of random people have been friending me lately. Not that I mind, go ahead! But, um, why? Did you see me on friendsfriends? Do we share a few interests? Most of you don't seem to care about my current fandom, so is it really that interesting to listen to me blather about something you've never heard about?

Not that anyone should unfriend me over this. Really, I don't mind at all. Everyone should friend me! I'm just curious.

**********

Nightmares especially suck when they're just so random and bizarre and nonsensical that you don't want to talk about them, because you'll feel even more like an idiot for being bothered by something that stupid. And then you can't sleep anyway, so you're all tired and vaguely depressed the entire next day.

**********

Found a new Yami author... well, not really new, but she has a lot more fics than the last time I saw her site, so it was almost like new.

http://ciceqi.slashcity.com/YnM.htm

I especially like 'Little Things'. And 'Ado'. It's all very good, though.

**********

I actually wrote some of the ClubSoka epic today. Which needs a real title, or else I'm just going to keep calling it that. But yep. 733 words. Which isn't all *that* long, but hey. I'm proud.

**********

Not that I'm saying I had nightmares. Nope. For I do not make pity posts to LJ.

**********

And I may write more of the epic, tonight, as I know clearly where this scene is going. Or if not tonight, definitely tomorrow.

**********

I'm rereading 'The Bingtown Traders' trilogy by Robin Hobb. Kennit is the coolest pirate ever. He's just like Jack Sparrow, if Jack was evil and ruthless and deceptive and power-hungry and crippled and had so many issues the characters of YnM would be impressed.

**********

There's a girl who calls my cell phone, and thinks that I'm her friend, Katie. She's been doing this since June now, but I've only talked to her a few times, since she mostly calls when I don't have my phone on me, and leaves a message.

But apparently, she's getting quite angry at Katie, since she never calls her back, of course. I feel really bad for the girl. Most of her messages lately are things like "Please call me, I'm just home alone with nothing to do." or "Are you angry at me?" or "Katie! PLEASE call me! I really need to talk to you."

I'm considering calling her, to let her know that she has the wrong number, but I don't know what to say.

**********

Well, probably tomorrow.

**********

This is a random post. If this had been an actual post, there would have been content.

Edited because I know how to close HTML tags, really I do.

*huggles* Wubbles my Brigdh. Sorry I wasn't good company tonight. >.< But thanks for listening to me ramble.

The Club!Soka fic intrigues me, I hope you write more of it soon. As for titles, you could try for a song that you associate with ClubSoka, do something punny (Club Soda!...I know, it's bad), or an adjective/verb that works for a fic. (EAG's "Unravel" is an example...she was stuck on titles, so I spouted out things until something took her fancy.) A brainstorming session over the title alone may be productive. A name, however, is only a small part of a fic; it may end up always being called ClubHisoka, but I have no doubt that the story itself will be wonderful. [/ficfangirl]
All this talk has made Club!Hisoka wake up and demand more pictures full of pretty colors. If anything turns out, I'll be sure to link you. ^_^; Good luck with the writing, (and with life.)

OMG *spazzes* ROBIN HOBB

Sorry. Robin Hobb is the best author I've ever read. She's a freaking goddess. Gah. *pets the Wintrow*

Have you read Farseer and what's out of Tawny Man? (If you're rereading Bingtown, I'm assuming you've read Farseer, because it comes before Bingtown, but ya never know, eh?)

Poor Brigdh and her nightmares. *pats* * gives comforting plushies*

But, dude. Kennit r0ck3rz. He's so fucked up. Che.

*snug snug snug* One for each time you mentioned the nightmares (I hope ^^;) Pity posting bad, but venting etc. good. You should let us make much of you. And I don't think the words of a story quote is overly depressing...?

You now have another random person befriending you - me! There are one or two people in the YnM fandom that I've been meaning to or thinking about befriending, and you've been in that category for a while, so... Hello!! *pounces*

By the way, I see you've mentioned Sleeps With Coyote's website above, and the fact that there are new fics up there - I like her stuff, too! *Must* get around to adding a link to her site on my own website...

Ah, but you're not a random person! I know who you are. These are people who are not in Yami fandom, who don't share any friends with me and only a few random interests. It almost seems like they randomly put some phrase into google and friended whoever came up.

I don't mind, but it just seems weird.

But anyway, hello! And I've friended you back now.

Awww. Thanks.

And I suppose it isn't all that depressing, it just seems... overly fatalistic, perhaps? Not happy, at least.

DUDE! Another Robin Hobb fan! I can never find anybody else who's read her.

And yeah, I've read Farseer and the Tawny Man trilogies. I have all her books, and buy them obsessively as soon as they come out. I love the Six Duchies books even more than the Bingtown ones, just because I adore the Fool/Amber/Lord Golden so very very much. Best. Character. EVER.

But I was in the mood for pirates, after seeing PotC.

Still: Yay! I'm so glad to have found someone else who's read Robin Hobb.

Heh. Thanks for all your suggests, but mostly likely I won't settle on a title until after I've finished it. It usually seems to work that way for me- I won't know what images or ideas are going to end up being really important and necessary until it's all done and I can look back.

And ooooo, thank you! Pretty pictures are always wonderful.

Oh, hush. You're always good company. The best! Besides, I wanted to talk to you, to 'listen to you ramble' ( :p ) since I hadn't seen you in a few days. It was too nice of you to make conversation, even if I was being rabidly untalkative.

Love you!

The Fool is my favorite literary character EVER. He/She is so. Effing. Awesome. *_*. I've tried to make Lyssie read Robin Hobb's stuff, but alas! hasn't happened yet >_>;;

I like the Six Duchies better, too; I adore Fitz's utterly naive POV. He's such a moron, but I love him so much. ButomfgIcan'twaitforFool'sFateOMFG O_O;;

...I'm gonna go re-read all the Fitz/Fool-esque parts of Golden Fool now. ^_^ (Look what you did >_>;;;)

You were drunk when you were writing this, weren't you? ::sobs:: My Brigdh is turning into a lush!

Nightmares do suck though, I had one a few hours ago about the sushi place we went to this weekend... it was quite unsettling. And your addendum against pity posts remains intact, for if you were really making one it would have to include the words 'woe is me', 'I hate this' or 'why me'.

Or if you think you have slipped, you could always nab up the LJ Brigdh and devote it to pity posts. ^^; You know ya wanna...

I was not! I was very tired, though, which seems to lead to amusing drunken behavior in me.

See, I could. Or make it a fic journal or an icon journal or something. But I fear I would never use it, as I'm too lazy to switch back and forth screennames like that.

Oh, hello. Um, feel free to friend me, I never mind. And there's tons of Yami communities on LJ, you might consider joining a few to get more Yami fics. They're lots of fun.

As for new fics... hmm, you might try here:
http://www.angelfire.com/anime5/phantommoon/brigdh.html

They're better at keeping updated than my own site is. #^^# Heh. Anyway, hope to see you around!
