Jul. 20th, 2003 03:09 pmYay, I'm back from camp! Okay, I actually got back on Thursday, but I've been really busy and haven't been online much since then. Many things happened at camp, from having my cabin destroyed by a tree falling over during a storm (while no one was in it, thankfully), and being told by the insane religious-freak hill supervisor that spaghetti-strap tops were inappropriate for a camp (hello? July? What kind of clothes was I supposed to bring with me?) and that it would be more tasteful for me to wear my brother's clothes. (In case you've never met my brother, he's over 6 foot, and about 170 pounds of muscles, which means I would be swimming in any of his clothes. He's also 15, and like any teenage boy, does not own anything that is not in need of several trips through a washer and dryer. I'm not seeing the tastefulness.)
But there was good stuff also. My group won the competition on the last day (and I got a balloon, wheeee!), and my campers were nice and sweet, with no homesickness or other kind of sickness, and weren't mean to anyone.
And I probably could write out quite a much longer review of what all happened last week, but I am bored and not in the mood. So this is all you get. Nyah!
Oh, and
1. So, it seems pretty obvious that your current OTP (one true pairing) is Tsuzuki/Hisoka. What's the deal with that? Why those two and not, say, Tatsumi/Watari, Muraki/Oriya, or even Buffy/Spike? What is it about Tsuzuki and Hisoka that really appeals to you?
2. Okay, you just won the biggest lottery jackpot ever. You never have to worry about money again. What do you do? Do you finish school? Drop out? Buy your own tropical island and live in weird, eccentric isolation for the rest of your days?
3. Why "persephone elysian"? Why not "tapshoetitan"? (Which is still available at Yahoo, in case you'd like to rush out and claim it now.)
4. Since we trade music all the time, what's your favorite song ever? Why that song?
5. Fanfiction- and most of fandom- really boils down to something most people won't do unless they're getting paid or graded: writing. But you do it for fun. Why? Is it all about getting the feedback and fame? Is it about getting the chance to play with a world and characters that you're a fan of? What exactly is it about fanfiction that makes you spend hours writing it?

Date: 2003-07-20 09:33 pm (UTC)It was... (pause for embrassament and trying to figure a way out) 4-H camp. Yes, like with the cows and chickens. Except I live in the city, so I don't get to take any of the livestock projects, just 'Creative Writing'. But, um... Camp!
