I'm glad you liked Long Way to a Small Angry Planet - I had the same problem you did with the plot, and just wanted to say that the sequel is far more plotty and less fun episodes on a spaceship. It's not about the crew, but about what happens to Lovelace and where the people she finds a home with came from. Really lovely - a bit darker, a bit sadder, but maybe more uplifting and rewarding for all that?
