"The Cross My Heart Job": I want to see Eliot fight Brazilians with spear guns underwater! I really like how this show deals with Sophie's sexiness: first, that it's Sophie who's the sexy one, even though she's older and heavier than Parker. And secondly, that sexiness is continually portrayed as something she does rather than something she is. Sexiness is about her body language, clothes, and the things she knows about people; it's not just about what shape she is. It's something that I think is very true in general, but which is almost never seen on TV. Anyway, the bit with her pulling out heels and changing her dress reminded me of this. Eliot that's very nice, but I don't think you can actually punch open a padlock. "Mr. Picard" HAHAHAHA. Ah, yes, Nate, reading the maybe-dying kid's profile page is definitely healthy approach. I am sure the ill elderly Mr. Chesney is not at all based on Mr. Cheney. Whew, Nate is scary.
"The Queen's Gambit Job": Seriously, Sophie, I do not get what you see in Nate. I don't think Interpol is in charge of which countries can develop nuclear weapons. Wouldn't it be the UN? "Eliot, try not to kill Sterling, we may need him." / "I can't promise that!" Hahahaha. "You slow me down!" OMG PARKER. OMG HARDISON. OMG DANCING (though how is she not crushing him with an extra 50 lbs in each shoe?). OMG HUMMING OVER THE EARBUDS SO MANY HEARTS IN MYE YES. Hahaha, Eliot hugs Hardison and then acts like Hardison started it. I feel like there could have been way less complicated ways to kidnap the girl. "You would look so cool with a scar! To a glass eye!" hahaha, Parker I <3 you.
"The Experimental Job": Evil fraternity! OMG COLLEGE STUDENT HARDISON. He has a little handkerchief in his pocket! Ew, Eliot eats (drinks?) raw eggs. Why are they having this class in the middle of the stacks of the library? HAHAHAHA Parker likes tazering people way too much to be good at the experiment. Awww, Parker's pep speech about how cool Hardison is was the sweetest and strangest thing ever. Jesus, Eliot is pretty scary during this interrogation thing. Hahaha, Hardison's game skills win after all! Oh, Leverage, could we not do the 'torture works' thing? Oh, godddddd, I can't watch Hardison being tortured, ahhhh, but yay Parker rescues him.
"The Office Job": THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING. OMG IT'S WERNER HERZOG. (Y'all, though, his documentary about cave paintings is pretty great. It didn't need to be 3-D though.) OMG IT'S 'THE OFFICE' HAHAHAHA I LOVE IT. OMG Hardison/Eliot sandwich tension. I would totally buy Parker's cards. Especially if they came with her sound effects. OMG ELIOT IS SO PROUD OF HIS SANDWICH. "She has the nuclear winter inside her" hahahhaa. Man, I don't know how the same show manages to have such a healthy, sweet relationship in Parker/Hardison and such a screamingly terrible one in Nate/Sophie. Also, whoa, Nate: 1) who the hell calls the person they're dating a "shrew"? and 2) you'd better like foreplay, dude. "No one throws Hardison off a roof. ...Except maybe me. Ha. No. Mmmm." OMG LOVE. "That's how real men emote" HAHAH AND THEN TEARY HUG. "You have the soul of a German." OMG I'M DYING. "I ate the damn sandwich for sure. Boy can cook!"
"The Girls Night Out Job": Awwww, Parker has friends! I love it. I'd read some Sophie/Tara, just sayin'. "THE Parker?" Hahahahah. Marge??? Hahaha, and Sophie is so offended at Marge. Aww, "it would have been more fun with Hardison." And I love the Tara/thief-dude ending!
ETA: And everyone should read this amazing Hardison/Parker/Eliot fic: Fair Share by shaenie. It's funny and sweet and hot and just generally absolutely perfect.

Date: 2014-03-19 12:37 am (UTC)Frankly, I figured Sterling was working for "Interpol". I love the Sterling eps; he's an antagonist who never loses! There's real tension when he's on screen. PARKER SMASH! (Another cool thing about this show: all the nerd refernces that are actual nerd references and make sense.) Tbh, Sterling was probably to humiliate Livingston in the process.
Aren't raw eggs supposed to cure hangovers or something? (Spoiler: it won't work because of what hangovers are) Trust me, library stacks are by far not the most unexpected place I've had class in. I'm pretty sure that award goes to the Boboli Garden in Florence (for the record, I lived in Paris at the time). "So we start tomorrow, then?" Also Grayson, the lesbian cop! She's great and I love how much of a non-issue her sexuality is. PARKER'S PEP TALK!
The Office Job is my least favourite Leverage episode. I love most of it, but the filmmaker's attitude wrt Parker and his disregard for her boundaries really creep me out. I'm pretty sure Sophie/Nate is dysfunctional on purpose, though. (Do you ship the Parker/Hardison/Eliot OT3 yet?)
Girls Night Out, on the other hand, is one of my favourite. It's just so great from start to finish. Tara! Maggie! CONTINUITY! (How much do i love that this show remembers minor characters from seasons ago? A LOT.) I love that Parker is a thief legend.

Date: 2014-03-19 07:48 pm (UTC)Yeah, I think the raw egg things were meant to be for a hang-over, though I've also heard them used for people who are trying to build muscle. I don't know if that works either!
The lesbian cop, yes! I meant to mention her, I loved that detail.
Yeah, the filmmaker is quite creepy, but he's so over-the-top that I found it funny rather than scary. Though I can totally see how it would bother some people!
I haven't yet decided if I ship Parker/Hardison or Parker/Hardison/Eliot more, but I am more than happy to read fic for either.

Date: 2014-03-19 10:08 pm (UTC)It might work, since muscles are essentially protein and eggs are a great source of protein, but idk that raw or cooked changes anything except salmonella.
