Minou:
1. Henri isn't the only man she's ever slept with. But a) it was only the one time, b) it was mostly an experiment, and c) no one knows except for her and him.

2. Livia's version of the sex talk was fairly terrifying, and Minou dreaded losing her virginity to the point of having nightmares. But it turned out to be not as bad as she was expecting, and now she rather enjoys sex.

3. Is really into roleplaying Romance Novel-type scenarios: she's a kidnapped princess! She's a poor orphan girl falsely accused! She's a cross-dressing highway robber!

Chloe:
1. Has not yet slept with Henri. She knows she'll have to do so eventually, if just for the sake of an heir, but is putting it off for a few years. (Henri is fairly confused and dismayed by this, but is too timid to push her on the issue.)

2. Sees sex and power as messily and unappealingly intertwined, ever since her father slept with the nurse who abused her. Sleeping with someone is either giving them power over you or taking power over them, and equality and openness has little to do with it.

3. Was very jealous of Artois, who had so much more freedom and was so much more open and happy than her. Sometimes fantasized about switching places with him, wearing boys' clothes and cutting her hair short and flirting with girls.

YES PERFECT, Minout/1 is... exactly what I was thinking, actually, hah. I wonder if her pre-Henri dude was white. Like, Ben has this Unified Theory of Minou's Sexual History and Preferences that would exclude that possibility of him having been a man of colour, but then Ben is not always right. And Minou/2 is also SO TRUE, SO VERY TRUE, and also very sad, particularly because Livia would have done that because she thought it was best for Minou to have low expectations.

Minou/3 is glorious and I demand eventual fic.

Chloe, YES, YES, YES TO EVERYTHING, particularly the flirting with girls part, yes, and one girl in particular lately. <3

Yes, totally it was a dude of color. Maybe the brother of one of her friends? Or maybe just the handsome and friendly store clerk who sold her some gloves and offered to deliver them to her home personally.

Yeah, Livia was speaking truthfully about her own experiences, and certainly a placee wouldn't be able to count on ending up with someone all that concerned about her pleasure. It's more than Minou was lucky than Livia was wrong.

(Minou 3 is why Henri proved to be surprisingly good at playing Evil Head Villain in 'Good Man Friday'.)

Yessss. Chloe didn't meet Minou until after Artois died, of course, but still... those fantasies have taken on a particular focus lately.

The Mayerlings:

1. Augustus was very nearly virginal at the beginning of his relationship with Madeleine, having been uninterested when young and not having had much opportunity since he started living as a man. Madeleine had more experience (obviously), but most of it was unpleasant and included very little outside of lying still. They've done a lot of experimenting and exploring together.

2. Both thought they were more attracted to men before this relationship, but are really, really into what they've discovered and wouldn't go back. (Not that they're planning to break up, but yanno.)

3. Are eventually planning to adopt some young relative of Madeleine's to raise and name as their heir. Probably more than one. But they're enjoying the honeymoon period for a little longer first.

RIGHT? Mostly I just like the thought of tiny Mayerlings, but Madeleine seems to have enough money that I think people would consider it necessary that she passes it along properly.

Yessss, and also, I love the idea of her adopting poor relatives, having been close to becoming one herself. (Like, a Bilbo-adopts-Frodo situation, taking someone from a huge and vaguely neglectful household and raising them in warmth and love.)
