Help_Pakistan Auction

I'm sure you all have heard about the floods in Pakistan. They are by far the worst humanitarian crisis in the country's history. Floods have affected 5% of its land mass and 4 million people are homeless, with more flooding expected. I've never been to Pakistan, but I hope to go someday, and have many friends who have. In fact, the archaeological culture I study is named the Indus Civilization after the Indus River- the river which is currently flooding. So, I feel that I should help.

Bidding is going until tomorrow, Saturday the 28th, at 11:59 PM EST. Also, lots of other people are offering things! So if you don't want to bid on me, you should still look around. Also also, rachelmanija is doing a read-a-thon to raise money, and I can tell you that she writes awesome reviews.

In case no one has mentioned this anywhere, as someone who deals with Western Union everyday, I'll say this: Western Union has promised to waive fees for money sent via WU to Pakistan within a certain window of time. I'll get the exact dates tomorrow and post them here. I believe the window has already begun and is supposed to close sometime in October or so, but I can't be certain 'til tomorrow rolls around.
