My gmail, which is set to reflect the local weather, is currently depicting large snowflakes and fluffy white piles. My actual window to the outside is currently depicting some sort of horrible ice-sleet-rain. Gmail seems to think this is cute. You are Wrong, gmail. Deeply, terribly wrong.

You may recall that last year, I ingeniously managed to avoid dealing with winter by fleeing to the Arabian peninsula. That, pared with the long-lasting fall this year, mean that I pretty much have not had to deal with temperatures in the thirties for nearly two years. I find that I did not miss it! Like, at all.

GO AWAY WINTER. NO ONE LIKES YOU ANYWAY.

Perhaps you would like it better with a nice felt scarf? That yak down you helped me pay for by actually having a notebook and pen at Fairway turns out to be made of the awesome.

Oh! Wow. I feel sort of guilty, but, um, I would indeed like a nice felt scarf! That sounds wonderful. Thank you so much.

Good! Then for once I can do something quasi-useful. Do you have anything you know you're sensitive to (alpaca, merino, whatever), so I can avoid using it, whatever it might be?

As far as I know, I'm not allergic to anything (except for grass pollen. And a chemical preservative they used to put into cheap orange juices. But I doubt either of those is likely to come up), so feel free to use anything.

I agree completely. It is 22F here. It blows. I have that same Google thingy on my e-mail and yesterday was the first time I've considered changing it when I saw the snow.

Ugh. At least it hasn't gotten down into the 20s yet here. I think 35 or so is the lowest we've dropped this year so far. I am not looking forward to it.

The high today was 21F. And in about an hour I have to try to go outside and get the snowblower to start. We are due for 3-5 inches of ilk tomorrow. Thank god there's wine for when I'm done.

I am totally not a winter person AT ALL. :) I keep meaning to move someplace warm, but have not had the opportunity yet. I think 22C sounds pretty nice, actually. Not too hot, but not cold.
