Very Important Questions
Apr. 16th, 2009 04:53 pmI am setting up a Dreamwidth account! But first, clearly, I have to pick a name. Bridgh was my first internet and fandom name, and is the one I prefer to go by in those circles. Wordsofastory came about, embarrassingly enough, out of a misunderstanding of the set-up form lo those many years ago when I was establishing a LJ account. However, I am conscious of the fact that, given the way LJ works, more people probably know me now as wordsofastory than Brigdh. Also, no one ever asks me how to pronounce, spell, or explain wordsofastory. Which leads to my dilemma: which should I use for Dreamwidth? Both, I should note, are currently available.

Date: 2009-04-16 09:01 pm (UTC)I'm still fretting about whether I should use the next code that comes my way to grab Phoebe, if it's even still available, before anyone else does. I didn't think of it initially, and now, of course, it's too late.

Date: 2009-04-16 10:04 pm (UTC)I agree with the comment that Brigdh is less likely to be available later, although I have to check how to spell it EVERY DAMN TIME.
I sort of want to set up a slightly new identity over there rather than 'porting this one. If I did, though, I'd be Atalan rather than childofatlantis. Don't know if that helps at all. :)

Date: 2009-04-27 10:06 pm (UTC)It's funny to me that you and Phoebe both think that, since Brigdh seems way more obscure to me. Though you might well be right!

Date: 2009-04-27 10:10 pm (UTC)Yep! Although that's how I got into this problem in the first place- when I was signing up for LJ, I misunderstood which field was for the screenname and which was for the sub-title, and accidentally switched them.
