Wow, this is an astonishingly gorgeous site! My dad was a field archeologist, but he usually did Central America (different kind of beautiful) or Euro-paleo sites, invariably dreary mud and possibly in a cave, so not much on scenery. And tents, usually.

And shell middens! Are those fun to dig, or is it a really annoying texture? I've only dug mud or clay, although I bet sand must be a nuisance.
