I love all the sensory imagery of Kyros (Cyprus must have been very nice?), and the hints of colour and image that are actually things Richard experiences by taste, touch, or by Alec's running commentary. I also like seeing how Richard would fight blind, and the contrast of his practicality with Alec's... whimsy.
