So! I am apparently going to Syria this summer.

I feel strange, if just because last year it took so long to figure out where I'd be doing field work, and it's still so early in this year. But! This is pretty exciting.

Well, most of the year I am merely a graduate student, but since what I'm studying is archaeology, I spend my summers digging up old stuff in far-away places.
