Livejournal is apparently reporting the deleted users to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Uh, yeah, I don't have much to say. Except wow, now I think I really am leaving LJ.

I do agree with [livejournal.com profile] swansong33 that the art of the deleted users comes nowhere close to the legal definition of child pornography. However, I don't think that guarantees that 6A/Livejournal wouldn't have reported them regardless. Why would [livejournal.com profile] coffeechica have brought it up if she wasn't at least threatening to do so?

It was a direct response to [livejournal.com profile] nomadmatan who asked
A general question for anyone on the LJ/6A team:

Are you just deleting the child pornography, or are you also forwarding that information to the government agencies responsible for policing it?

I thought [livejournal.com profile] coffeechica's reply was reasonable as were the first two paragraphs of [livejournal.com profile] markf's elaboration, but third was ill advised stirring-it-up.
