I promise to stop spamming right after this.

...was Bill O'Riley being deliberately ironic, or did he really try to be funny by accusing an NBC reporter of being an illegal immigrant just because he's from Venezuela? Because I can't believe he was actually serious, but this is still pretty bad.

I know! He wasn't as bad as some of the people who come on and don't realize that Colbert's not actually conservative, but that was still strange.

...I kept wanting him to ask for a copy of the gay photo.

Really, nothing O'Riley and his ilk do surprises me anymore. You could tell me he had painted himself blue and was doing an interpretive dance because he thought it would kill every queer in the country.

...Actually, I'd pay to see that.

Colbert did offer him a (photoshopped) photo of O'Riley in a black leather bikini/S&M outfit with dog collar! It was pretty disturbing, actually.

I cannot believe I missed the episode. Come to think of it, I haven't seen either the Daily Show or the Colbert Report in ages. I must rectify this.

They're the only TV shows I remember to watch on a regular basis, although probably just because I usually eat dinner at the same time. I'm sure the clip will be up on Comedy Central's website in a day or two; surprisingly, the internet does not yet seem to have the photo on it, but it has only been a little over an hour.

He was both ironic and funny I think. Funny because that’s who he is normally but ironic because here he is with a pseudo carbon copy of himself — and knew it! Overall, it was a very very odd interview.

Of course, this changes nothing about what I think of him in that he’s way too serious about himself — quite the opposite of Colbert, really — and I think this interview proved it even more.

Well, that's reassuring. It was strange! Though I'm not sure what I expected.

Yep. I wonder what Colbert really felt about it. He might have been really amused, or he might have been a bit weirded out himself.
