The Pale Stones of Your Fingernails- Sanzo/Goku, PG-13.

Stirring Dull Roots- Konzen/Kenren/Tenpou, R.

You know, it's probably a good idea if, while waiting for an elevator, you decide to start singing and dancing, that you make sure the hallway is actually empty first.

Also, hey! I'm 22 today.

Happy Birthday! *hugs* ♥ If I could write Saiyuki fic for you, I would. :| It turns out to be Loveless fic that my brain decided to write today, however, even though I don't think you follow Loveless at all. :( I'm sorry.

<3 you anyway!

Hee, no worries. Hearts are as good as fic! Tsuzuki/Hisoka icons also.

And nah, I haven't gotten into Loveless yet. Pity me; I'm being pimped into three new fandoms simultaneously; I don't think I could handle another.

jsdgh;sjgdsa Loveless. Oh, god. Cat ears and tails make sense. And it's easy to get into: 13 episode anime (still downloadabe); currently a 6 volume manga, 1 of which is published over here, and 5 of which are scanlated and downloadable; angst EVERYWHERE; and canon lesbianism and more boy love than you can shake a glitter stick at.

And the fandom needs more fic. I wrote my first tonight! Eee! You need to be dragged in for that fact alone. *nod*

Ahhh, no! You are not supposed to be tempting me with more fandoms! You are supposed to appreciate my pain!

..you know, I totally saw the first manga in Barnes&Nobles the other day.

No!

Just kidding. ♥

Bah. I got dragged into Prince of Tennis and my life has actually come to a hold. It is so gay, IT BURNS. I am writing every day now for the first time since 2003. If anyone's pain should be appreciated, it's mine!

Can you honestly deny them? *points to icon*

The anime shop never got Loveless in. I am so traumatised, it's not funny. Thank got for online shopping. :|

Hee. I watched the first ten or twenty episodes of PoT, but was never quite sucked in. Still, I know how that can be, when something just eats your brain whole.

*nod* It's very slow-going, everyone says so; it takes about 13 episodes before it really gets going, and it just gets better. Of course, I was hooked by Episode 3, but that was just me. The minute I clapped eyes on Tezuka, I was sold. :|

Oh, God. My thesis is not done. I haven't studied since February. My exams are three weeks away. I'm doomed.

Watching it did somehow make "chibi-chan" part of my permanent vocabulary, though! I've got my 6'4, football jock, massive human giant baby brother trained to respond to it when shouted halfway across a mall. He also knows "[Name] no baka desu", so we can insult people to their faces without anyone realizing.

*laughs and laughs* Ah, schoolwork. The inevitable victim of the Way More Important fanfic.

Oh, but it's totally different to be shamelessly singing and dancing with other people. It's only when I'm by myself that I get self-conscious.

When I was in Disney World when I was twelve, I saw these older girls (fifteen or so) dancing around with roses in their teeth and calling attention to themselves. And I rolled my eyes and swore that I would never be those girls.

Now I'm totally those girls.

(And happy birthday.)

Heh. Whenever I saw groups of people like that, I was jealous and vowed to form one myself at the first possible opportunity.

(Thank you!)

Completely off topic, but out of curiosity, which three fandoms? And do any of them seem likely to take?

I need to know these things; otherwise I don't have the beginning of a prayer of keeping up. Not that I have much of one now.

Get Backers, Fullmetal Alchemist (which I am watching! I swear! I feel so guilty for having had the episodes since the fall, but I truly had no free time for the last two quarters. And now I have plenty, and am therefore up to episode 17), and Samurai Champloo, which I blame on [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija.

Hmm. I like all of them, but at the moment none seem likely to hit me with quite the same intensity of, say, Saiyuki or Yami no Matsuei. But they're excellent, and I'm glad I'm watching them.

Happy birthday! I'd do you a birthday image or a scrolling marquee thing, but I'm on drugs and not allowed to operate heavy machinery (like Photoshop and HTML).

But! You can request a drabble. I saved a space just for you.

Date: 2006-04-11 05:09 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wordsofastory.livejournal.com
*laughs* You do have to watch out for that Photoshop: terrible things could happen if you used it while under the influence.

And ee! I saw the post, but you'd already had seven requests by the time I got to it. I'd like Hisoka and heat, please.

I've used it under the influence. I know.

Silly woman. You are one of the "certain people, exceptions made for." *G*

From: [identity profile] wordsofastory.livejournal.com
Hee. Well, I didn't want to assume. Besides, I was having fun reading the ones other people requested.

Date: 2006-04-11 05:39 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ranalore.livejournal.com
Well, now you know for next time. *G* And I'm having way too much fun writing the things. Which is good, except I took the evening off writing Weiss due to the sinuses, but I couldn't resist working on the next few. At this rate, I'm going to use up all my bribes before I can next make myself work on the epic.

From: [identity profile] wordsofastory.livejournal.com
Clearly you will just have to ask for more requests. You know, I'm really not seeing a negative here. *grins*

From: [identity profile] ranalore.livejournal.com
That's actually exactly what I did. *G* Though I can't ask for too many, or I'll get hopelessly distracted.

Have a fabulous birthday! *tosses handfuls of virtual confetti* Hope you have tons of fun.

Hey, sometimes when the spirit moves you, you just gotta go with it and dance.

Happy birthday! I can't believe we still don't have the technology to send champagne via the web -- it's been a whole year, and everything! -- but we don't, so it'll have to be the virtual stuff again.

And how are you going to dance as if nobody's watching, if you're going to be all hypervigilant about whether anybody's watching?

Date: 2006-04-11 05:14 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wordsofastory.livejournal.com
Thanks! And what a rip-off; no internet champagne yet, no Matrix-style cyberspace, we don't even have videophones. Clearly our scientists have spent the last year slacking off. *grins*

Hee. I am so amused that most of the people responding here are encouraging me to continue to dance, rather than laughing at me.

Oh, I'm so west coast it hurts (like I don't know that I'll ever be able to live anywhere else), but I realized I was late your time posting near 11 p.m. my time. Maybe I'm overthinking this. ^_^

My ungodly schedules have caught up with me! I slept for 22 hours Sunday and was still tired all Monday.

Oh, I see. Hee, well, all birthday wishes are appreciated, regardless of time.

Wow! I think that's longer than I've ever slept at once; I tend not be able to last for any longer than 12 or 13 hours.
