Music!

I'm in the mood for the most video game-like, DDR-ish, seizure-inducing, fast-paced techno music out there. I want repetitive beats, stupid lyrics, pounding rhythm! I want the kind of thing that could cause ADD.

Got any recommendations? Or, you know, mp3s to share?

Kingdom Hearts soundtrack, which can be found online somewhere and googled. Most FFVII music. Um, sadly, I'm on the college computers, so no mp3s. :(

If I remember when I get home from work, I've got a few. :D

All mp3s are welcome, if you've got the time to upload them. *grins*

5 tracks, 3 of them actual DDR tracks I downloaded from somewhere-or-other (and really haven't listened to yet XD), plus a track from Orbital which isn't incredibly head-pounding, but does feature Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor lecturing humanity about 2.5 minutes through it. And then a most excellent remix of a Kodo drummers' piece, called Strobe's Nanafushi.

My other ones are backed up on some DVD somehwere that I can't find at the moment. XD

Thank you! These are all great, but the Strobe's Nanafushi is amazing.

Would Aqua's "Barbie Girl" work?

Oh, good choice! I like that song, in a terribly guilty sort of way. *grins*

Most of my somewhat limited assortment of techno has more of a lazy funk backbone, but here are a couple of faster, brighter songs (well, except the 'fight club' one, but it's got a repetitive lyrics and a pounding rhythm ^^)

Alissa - Mamboleo (http://s35.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=28RXB9PPYMOL720J0J6GR9ZF1I)
Wiseguys - Put your body in motion (http://s27.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3QX8AVJSCWQVL129TOXPUPHX98)
Fight Club - Spread Love (http://s35.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1XSK74XDUP82T332RNYX6J8DWL)

I don't listen to it much myself, which is why I'm looking for tracks. Also, I suspect there's a name for the specific genre I want, but I'm so unfamiliar with it that I have no idea what it is.

But, oh, thank you for these! I particularly like 'Put Your Body in Motion'.

I know what you mean -- electronica is more or less mystifying to me. I've never been able to even figure out the difference between House and Club. But I guess it's where your interest lie (embarrassingly enough I have something like 40 categories of rock music)

Glad I guessed at least somewhat right ^^

Ah, damn. I'm at work right now. Will dig through my mp3 collection and see what I can find.

Check your e-mail. There should be a YSI notification every 20 minutes or so. XD But just in case, here they are:

Astral Projection - Mahadeva (John 00 Flaming Remix) (http://s11.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1TPWCGWMJ8UTO30VECFWN71NG3)
More ambiance than techno, but with markedly more oomph than the original.

Gorillaz - Dare (http://s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=22GZLH40OP9LA2ZZ9W9L54S8DZ)
Gorillaz - All Alone (http://s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=11IHHO3SQC9D21EN13K1WV4GX4)
The first is rock-tinged dance, the second is slick hip-hop.

Goldfrapp - Lovely 2 C U (T.Raumschmiere Rmx) (http://s32.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1TYCW53R5Y70R22IJ8UYUL66KY)
This is probably fits into the genre of music you're looking for.

Tiga - You Gonna Want Me (12" Dance Mix) (http://s32.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1TOIYV8GRG7WF3I24480KIEAVK)
Ditto.

Lady Sovereign - Hoodie (Basement Jaxx Remix) (http://s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3FS4XF4545W9H3K95CY9FM5M53)
You probably already have this, but what the hell. XD

Timo Maas feat. Brian Molko & Jo Kate - First Day (Extended Version) (http://s32.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3PUK3KPPM20D62BM266H2F4HG4)
A slice of 80s-retro-inspired electronica.

Ladytron - High Rise (http://s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3H1P9TGFB26MS0183ZEZ588BTZ)
She's a bit of a hit-and-miss with me, but I love this track.

TRF - BOY MEETS GIRL (DA! DA! DA! REMIX) (http://s32.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3JPBSM07FEBA82J103QQW0M8T8)
I listen to cheesy Japanese dance music and I'm not afraid to admit it. XD

As you can see, I'm not much for techno myself -- I should hook you up with [livejournal.com profile] rei_kurasaki, who's in the middle of a German techno kick. Though, out of my flist, I'd say that [livejournal.com profile] petronia's taste in music is ace. I'm forever downloading stuff from her (e.g. half of the above).

Eee, thank you! I adore all of these- I'm particularly fond of the Ladytron track, but I like most of hers songs that I've heard. (Have you heard "Destroy Everything You Touch"? I think it's a great Sanzo song. I also really like "Seventeen".)

Anyway, great choices. Thank you so much!
