Things I have seen in the last two days:
Aug. 2nd, 2009 02:47 pm1. A full-on tent revival being held by the church by my subway stop. In a thunderstorm.
2. Two very sincere young women attempting to preach the word to me in a bookstore. But not about Jesus! They wanted to know if I had heard about the Mother Goddess. Ironically, I was holding a copy of The Mists of Avalon at the time.
3. Three INCREDIBLY ANNOYING tourists having a loud conversation RIGHT NEXT TO ME AT THIS VERY MOMENT about how they like to hang out in Bed-Sty because it's the real hood, I mean, Biggie Smalls grew up there, and it's so fun to buy Chinese food there because, like, they're the only ones without a gun, hahaha.
4. One of my cats killed a mouse. And then played with its corpse until I got up enough courage to manage to throw the tiny body away. And then the cat was very sad because she didn't have her new toy anymore.
