Oh my god, people are having very loud, enthusiastic sex on the floor above me!!

...I'm not sure if this is horrifying or hilarious. Certainly it's an indication that I should have gone to bed an hour ago, when I normally do; it's very hard to fall asleep while attempting to ignore thumps and moans.

elbo.ws: a music blog aggregator. This is the most useful thing I have discovered on the internet in months. It contains a huge number of music blogs, all across the internet, organized so that they're searchable by musician or song or genre or any word appearing in the original post. Have some song you've been dying to find? Type it in here, and you will be able to find it if anyone at all has posted it in months. Clearly the likelihood of your success has a great deal to do with whether the song you're looking for is a darling of the current scene, but it's still a hell of a lot better than trying to do similar searches through google.

Dinosaur Comics. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I am going to print that off and hang it on my wall. Also, my exact thoughts on religion, right down to the worry that I'm being patronizing! Dude, I find it strange to see my thoughts reproduced so exactly by other people.

Story update

Wordcount on the story I'm working on at the moment: 1,467

Amount of hatred I currently have for my own writing: immense!

Man, what happened there? I had a few months where stories seemed to come so easily, and now I'm back to obsessing over every single word choice and loathing the majority of complete sentences*. I sort of want to write something very short as a break from this, to get back into the feel of writing again. But I hate all of 31_days prompts this month, and I'd rather sulk about that than be productive and find other sources.

*And yes, okay, a voice in the back of my head says that taking time and obsessing over word choice means this will be a better story than ones I've written recently, but hush.
