Stupid breakable things.

My glasses just broke. And not like oh, the screw came loose, I'll have to go get that tightened, but broke as in THE ENTIRE LEFT EARPEICE SNAPPED OFF. And took the corner of the frame with it, so now the left lens won't stay in. I have no idea why this happened; it's not like I've been particularly rough with my glasses.
And why, oh gods of fortune, does it always have to be the left side? Why does nothing ever happen to the right side, which I can't see out of anyway, and so wouldn't bother me nearly as much?
Grrr. And with my luck, I'm sure the glasses store is closed to Monday, when they'll probably have to ship in a new pair from somewhere else.
