Possibly I've permanently broken my sleep schedule, as I got up at 6:30 again today. Ah, well. It's a lot simpler to move your schedule later than it is to move it earlier. All you have to do is stay up for an hour or two more. But trying to convince yourself to fall asleep an hour or two before you get tired- that's nearly impossible.
Work was actually kind of interesting yesterday, if only because of massive amounts of trauma. The girl I work with cut her toe (on a *dustpan* O.o), and went to the first-aid station, and sent someone to find gauze and tape, and spent a lot of time on the phone with her mom. I thought it looked more like a tiny scratch than OMG!!1! LIEF-THRETENGNING INJRURY!!one! but I'm not going to tell a little fifteen-year-old girl to suck it up and deal. And anyway, like I said, it made things interesting.
I do like working with her- there's just one issue. A tiny thing. And I realize that it's just because business is always so slow, and she's bored, and she just wants something to do- but. See, I'll be dealing with a customer, and she'll come up and try to help- which is good, and nice. But it's always something that ends up causing more trouble than if she'd just left me alone. Things like taking their money when I've already got my hand out for it, HELLO I'M RIGHT HERE.
You can do pretty much anything you want to me and I won't get mad. I don't get mad, much. Friends can attest to this. Except if you treat me like I'm not capable of doing things for myself. Words... do not describe my anger. It happens to me all the time, and I don't know if it's because I'm cute, or not cute, or tiny, or young, or a girl, or I act bouncy, or what, but NOTHING pisses me off faster than acting like I'm incompetent. I LOATHE that. I ABHOR it. I WILL BITE OFF YOUR FACE IF YOU DO IT. I take care of myself and I DO NOT need your help. Do not treat me like I don't know anything, because bitch, I will be forced to reveal exactly why I've been on the Dean's list every single quarter of my college career, and I will leave you shaking in fear and awe. AND IF YOU OPEN A BOX FOR ME ONE GODDAMN MORE TIME, IMA KILL SOMEONE.
