From [livejournal.com profile] runefallstar: list ten things that make you happy (in no particular order), then tag five friends.

1. A full inbox. Since I have a separate account for school/work/reality, whenever I sign into Yahoo and see a high count of new messages in my inbox, I know they're all letters and comments from people who want to chat or talk or say cool stuff even before I see what they are. Now that is a wonderful feeling. Mmmmmmm, friends.
2. Sunshine on a hot day. But then, if you've had me friended for more than a week, you knew that.
3. Kitties.
4. New books. Also, spending hours in a bookstore.
5. Spending all night at a club, dancing.
6. Honey on toast on a morning when I have nowhere in particular to be.
7. Ice cream.
8. Bed. I love my bed. It has my pillows and my blankets and my sheets and the quilt I sewed one summer, even though I'd never so much as picked up a needle and thread before. And it's where I sleep, which is another thing that makes me happy.
9. Sushi. And spaghetti. And stir-fry. And avocado. And potato pancakes. And tomatoes. And bread. And chickpeas. Basically, food. All of it.
10. My white babydoll t-shirt that says "heroine".

And from [livejournal.com profile] lensflair: 5 random things about me:

1. I sprained my wrist today. I was running up the set of stairs into a building, late for class, when I tripped on a loose shoelace, or stubbed my toe, or caught my foot, or something, and I went flying face-first. I was carrying my ipod in my left hand, and though I had the presence of mind not to slam that hand into the concrete to catch myself, I couldn't get my right hand out of my pocket in time to land without injuring something.

I tell this story to illustrate a fact about me: I am the least graceful person ever.
2. I have a little laughing Buddha statue a friend brought back for me when she went to Hong Kong. Despite the fact that I am not, you know, Buddhist, this is the only religious symbol I've had in a living space of mine for at least the last four years.
3. At any given time, I'm carrying at least one novel, one manga, one textbook, two notebooks, a miniature notepad, and a set of index cards with me.
4. I spent over a half-hour on dictionary.com today trying to come up with the right synonym for 'heartless'. This is why so much time passes between my fics.
5. The only things I keep on my bathroom sink are a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, a hairbrush, and a tube of hair gel. This is consistently a mere fraction of what the person I'm sharing the bathroom with keeps there, including the time I shared with my brother.

I tag [livejournal.com profile] p_zeitgeist, [livejournal.com profile] telophase and [livejournal.com profile] runefallstar.

In other news: I made it on [livejournal.com profile] metafandom for my poll! I feel all articulate and famous now.

You made a quilt! That's awesome. I really want to make one some day, but I'm intimidated by the process.

*Grins* It's nice to be tagged for something, but my list of things that make me happy is definitely going to be a strange one!!!

Heh, well, I'm not sure how well I made a quilt- it started falling apart at the seams after it was only about two years old- but hey, it works!

It wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. I'd just do it while watching TV. A word of advice, though: you definitely need a sewing machine. It's nearly impossible to do an entire quilt by hand.

Aw, I'd have tagged you more often if I knew you liked it. Whenever I do these things, I always have to try and figure out which people do memes and which don't.

And hey, a strange list just means a more interesting one!

We do have a sewing machine, although I find sewing even a simple straight line very challenging! LOL.

Always wondered why you kept so little "stuff" in the bathroom... ^^;;

And I'm totally doing the meme. OHHOWIHEARTTAGGAGE. ^^

Hee. You're still a step ahead of me, then; I had to borrow a sewing machine from one of my aunts after I realized that it would take me years to sew a quilt by hand.

Oh, no reason. I just don't really use anything else.
