Man, people are boring. I walked around in costume all day today, and saw only one other person dressed up. It's Halloween! Celebrate! You can be normal the other 364 days of the year.

Anyway. I realize that I signed up for Nano, and then mentioned it on here, but then it occurred to me that the month in which I have to apply to grad school, write letters, write stories for class and work is maybe not the month in which I also want to attempt to write 50,000 words. Mainly because wow, how much would it suck if I missed an application deadline because I was doing Nano?

And I finally had a plot worked out and everything. Maybe I'll do it in December or January. Anybody else want to do Nano but constantly find that November is the worst possible month of the year to attempt it? We could set up our own event!

In an attempt to make this post relevant to anything, I present a poll. Because I just finished the novel I was reading and can't decide what to read next.

[Poll #602571]

Then tell me if I should read A Passage to India, because I keep thinking I should but never work up the ambition to do it.

And yes, JanNoWriMo is a much better idea.

God, yes, I wish I could do it in the summer... July would be good. ^_^;;

I know! I always want to join, but Novemember is just never a good time, and it's not as much fun to do it by yourself. We should organize our own month sometime.

Hee. Since that's winning the poll, I guess I'll go ahead and read it. And be sure to do a review, though my taste seems to often be out of whack with most people's. *grins*

I find reviews helpful even if I disagree with the reviewer, though-- it's nice to know what someone finds appealing or unappealing.

Jesus, yes, November is already killing me and it's only two days in. *cries* November and Decemebr are my worst two months, academic-wise, when every single goddamn thing is on! Why can't they do these things in summer, or January, or any month other than November or December?

Okay, that's it. I am totally going to organize a Nano for, like, Janurary. At least there'll be a few of us to do it together.

I'm in. ^_^ I even have something I need to get written for a friend and, well, peer pressure is (mostly) good, right?

Hey, if we get enough people, this might be pretty fun.
