That was my attempt to scowl. Unfortunately, I'm very bad at looking angry when I'm actually in a good mood. I also offer up this photo, in which my wig is falling off and I appear to be laughing at something, but hey, you can see the gloves I made:
Mmm, no wonder so many people were all over you. Take an already sexy woman, dress her up as one of the Gods of Office Sex, and we're all lucky there wasn't a stampede on your fineness.
Konzen approves. Or he would, if he did things like approval.
Well, I bought regular gloves and cut off the unwanted fingers, which I'm not sure actually counts as 'making' them. *grins*
It was pretty easy, and worked out surprisingly well, because without the fingers, the gloves that I thought were going to be way too short stretched higher up my arms than I'd expected (I couldn't find gloves that actually would have come all the way up my biceps, at least not without paying $20 for them, which was more than I could afford for something I was going to cut up). The only problem was in cutting off the thumbs; removing all of the base of the thumb's sleeve ended up making the hole on that side much bigger than I wanted it to be. But I solved it by twisting the gloves around so that side was on the outside of my arm, where it looked fine.
Heh, see that would be a logical Halloween costume. I should have explained that this is me being a total dork, and thus dressing up as Konzen, a Buddhist god featured in the anime/manga Saiyuki. And also the guy in my icon.
Of course, that meant I have spent way too much time this holiday explaining to people what the difference between Buddhist gods and Bodhisattvas are, and why I don't have four extra arms.
...Although making them did end up with me wearing just the robe, with one glove on and scissors in the other hand, crouching in front of my laptop to stare at scans and go, "Now, how the hell is this supposed to work?" just as my roommate walked into the room.
Aheheheheh. She's going to stop speaking to me in another month, I'd put money on it.
